Visited Eric Trine's studio in Long Beach right after I landed in LA from NY. He was having a studio sale that day and it was an amazing visit to experience the space where he created his magical masterpieces and all the fun stuff laying around his studio space.Thank You Etrine!
PHEROMONE HOTBOX, STEVEN KASHER GALLERY,NY
A showcase of 5 women photographers.I went to check out my favourite photographer/artist Shae Detar but ended up fangirling all of them that night. WE THE YOUTH : KEITH HARING , PHILADELPHIA
Walked about 10 blocks from the train station to find this mural by one of the most iconic Pop Artist, Keith Haring. The Rainbow Room,Brooklyn. Thanks to Erika Mugglin for letting me stay and experience her magical rainbow room. Hope we'll get to collaborate for real one day! MoMa reminds me so much of another happy place of mine, Pompidou Centre in Paris and recently added to my top 5 favourite galleries/museums. I was lucky to get to experience Matisse : Cut Outs during my visit, which made me a HUGE Matisse fan today. It was also my first time seeing Frida Kahlo's paintings, and the most epic part of the trip to MoMa was seeing "Starry Night" by Van Gogh, that I have been hunting for throughout museums in Europe and even Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. It was so surreal and you can bet the song "Vincent" was playing in my head over and over while staring at the painting.
In these photos you'll see other paintings by Dali "Persistence of Memory" , PIcasso and another favourite Cubist Artist, Fernand Leger,Mark Rothko, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock. |
