The Rainbow Room,Brooklyn. Thanks to Erika Mugglin for letting me stay and experience her magical rainbow room. Hope we'll get to collaborate for real one day! MoMa reminds me so much of another happy place of mine, Pompidou Centre in Paris and recently added to my top 5 favourite galleries/museums. I was lucky to get to experience Matisse : Cut Outs during my visit, which made me a HUGE Matisse fan today. It was also my first time seeing Frida Kahlo's paintings, and the most epic part of the trip to MoMa was seeing "Starry Night" by Van Gogh, that I have been hunting for throughout museums in Europe and even Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. It was so surreal and you can bet the song "Vincent" was playing in my head over and over while staring at the painting.
In these photos you'll see other paintings by Dali "Persistence of Memory" , PIcasso and another favourite Cubist Artist, Fernand Leger,Mark Rothko, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock. THE FIRST DAY OF 2015 AT GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM IN NEW YORK, DESIGNED BY ONE OF MY IDOL ARCHITECTS AND A HUGE INSPIRATION TO ME DURING MY DEGREE YEARS, FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT.
It was my first time traveling during winter to visit my cousin Dila in New Jersey with my aunt. Stayed for almost 2 months, travelled to Philadelphia every week to get a bus to New York where I explored the city solo most of the time. You can say my favourite thing to do in New Jersey was shopping for groceries!
